11. AMPCO Events mobile app
This section applies to the AMPCO Events iOS app (the “App”), AMPCO Contracting, Inc.’s official guest guide for hosted weekends. The current itinerary is the Catalina Island Weekend (September 11–13, 2026). Future AMPCO weekends may appear in the same app. Last updated August 30, 2026.
Information the App collects
- If you allow notifications, the App sends a device push token to Apple Push Notification service so we can send logistics alerts (charter, shuttle, “meet here,” schedule changes).
- The App stores on your device: your guest type preference (overnight or Saturday-only), alert category preferences, a cached copy of the itinerary, and a history of alerts you received.
- If you use the in-app concierge, your question is sent to our server so we can return an answer about boats, shuttles, packing, and similar logistics. We do not use the concierge to collect your name, email, or ticket number.
- The App does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, ticket number, or precise location inside the App. If you email concierge from the App, that message is ordinary email.
How we use it
- Push tokens: deliver event logistics notifications you opted into.
- On-device preferences: show the right itinerary and honor your alert settings.
- Concierge questions: generate a logistics answer for that request. We do not sell chat transcripts or use them for advertising.
- We do not sell this information. We do not use it for advertising or tracking across other companies’ apps and websites. We do not use the App Tracking Transparency / IDFA.
Service providers
- Apple Push Notification service (Apple)
- Vercel (AI Gateway, used only if you ask the in-app concierge)
- Anthropic (language model behind the concierge, via the gateway)
Staff sign in to AMPCO’s own admin tool. Guests do not sign in. We do not use Google Firebase.
Retention
- Device tokens are deleted when you disable notifications or uninstall, and in any case we will delete unused tokens after the weekend (within 30 days after September 13, 2026) unless you continue using a later version of the App for a future AMPCO event.
Your choices
- Notifications: iOS Settings → AMPCO Events → Notifications, or the App’s Alerts settings.
- You can use the full itinerary without enabling notifications.
- You can use the App without asking the concierge.

- The App is intended for guests 17 years of age and older.
