Project Overview
AMPCO performed mass grading and earthwork operations for the Knox Logistics Center Phases 1, 2, and 3, supporting the development of more than 3 million square feet of new concrete tilt-up industrial buildings in Perris, California.
The project involved the excavation, processing, and movement of approximately 4 million cubic yards of earth across the site, requiring extensive cut-and-fill operations to create building pads and supporting infrastructure for one of Southern California’s premier logistics developments.
A significant component of the project included the drilling and blasting of approximately 250,000 tons of granite rock. All blasted rock was processed on-site and repurposed as riprap material, maximizing resource utilization while reducing off-site disposal requirements.
Through strategic planning, large-scale equipment deployment, and efficient project execution, AMPCO successfully delivered the earthwork program, providing construction-ready building pads to support the phased development of the logistics center.
