Project Overview
AMPCO performed site development and infrastructure improvements for the Cross Border Xpress (CBX) facility, a first-of-its-kind transportation project connecting San Diego directly to the Tijuana International Airport terminal.
The project included mass grading, paving, drainage infrastructure, utility improvements, and extensive off-site work required to support the new international passenger terminal and parking facilities. AMPCO constructed a large box culvert system, completed roadway and traffic signal improvements, installed curb and gutter, and developed the parking areas serving the facility.
Through careful planning and coordination, AMPCO successfully delivered the infrastructure necessary to support one of the region’s most innovative transportation projects, providing travelers with direct access between the United States and Mexico.
