Project Overview
AMPCO performed large-scale earthwork and mass grading operations for the Sand Canyon Residential Development in Santa Clarita, California. The project involved the movement of approximately 5.5 million cubic yards of earth through extensive cut-and-fill operations across an 86-acre hillside site.
The scope included canyon cleanouts, deep fills exceeding 150 feet in certain areas, and the construction of five major building superpads to support future residential development. AMPCO also completed associated off-site improvements and grading activities necessary to facilitate the overall project.
Through strategic planning, large-scale equipment deployment, and efficient earthmoving operations, AMPCO successfully transformed challenging terrain into construction-ready building pads while maintaining strict safety, quality, and environmental standards.
