Project Overview

Following the Palisades and Eaton Fires, one of the largest disaster recovery efforts in California history, AMPCO rapidly mobilized more than 600 personnel within five weeks to support emergency cleanup and recovery operations.

AMPCO was deployed during the earliest stages of the response effort, providing engineering support, cost controls, logistics planning, and operational management critical to the successful execution of the program. Working in support of FEMA and alongside the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, AMPCO provided comprehensive environmental remediation, asbestos abatement, demolition, site stabilization, and emergency response services.

Crews worked seven days per week, 12-hour shifts, over a six-month period to safely clear fire-impacted properties and help communities begin the rebuilding process. At peak production, AMPCO remediated and demolished up to 30 properties per day, making it one of the largest and most productive contractors operating within the recovery program.

In addition to remediation and demolition activities, AMPCO installed more than 60 miles of temporary fencing, hauled tens of thousands of tons of fire debris, and managed complex logistics operations across multiple impacted communities. As part of its commitment to workforce development and community impact, AMPCO also partnered with second-chance employment programs, creating opportunities for individuals seeking a fresh start while helping rebuild communities affected by disaster.
