Project Overview
AMPCO successfully performed demolition and site redevelopment activities as part of the transformational Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island redevelopment project in San Francisco, California. Working for Wilson Meany, AMPCO demolished approximately 250,000 square feet of buildings and site infrastructure across more than 400 acres to support the redevelopment of the former naval installation into a vibrant mixed-use community.
The project included the removal of buildings, roadways, utilities, transit infrastructure, trees, and green waste, as well as asbestos abatement and environmental preparation activities. AMPCO also implemented on-site concrete crushing and recycling operations, maximizing material reuse while supporting sustainable redevelopment goals.
Through strategic planning, extensive equipment resources, and efficient project execution, AMPCO safely prepared large portions of the site for future residential, commercial, and infrastructure development.
