Project Overview

AMPCO successfully completed the demolition and site redevelopment of the former Palomar Hospital campus for Integral Communities. The project involved the demolition of approximately 1.2 million square feet of hospital facilities, including a 12-story hospital tower and multiple supporting structures.

As part of the redevelopment effort, AMPCO performed asbestos abatement, including the removal of fireproofing materials and other regulated asbestos-containing materials. Following demolition, all concrete generated from the project was crushed and recycled on-site, reducing waste and supporting sustainable redevelopment practices.

The project was completed within an aggressive six-month schedule and included mass grading and finish grading operations to prepare the site for future multifamily residential development by Greystar.

Leveraging our experienced workforce and extensive equipment resources, AMPCO safely delivered the project while maintaining schedule, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency.
